This page is dedicated to ways that teachers can differentiate instruction in the classroom for your students.
There are many different ways we can differentiate for your students in our classrooms. Your consistent communication with us will be key in helping us to learn what works best for your child.
Just a few examples of things we can do (a small snapshot only):
Allow your child frequent breaks, or give him or her tasks to complete periodically around the school so he or she has an opportunity to walk around.
Praise your child in a very public manner for good behavior.
Make sure your child has recess and gym class.
Allow your child a lot of computer access to complete assignments or alternative ways to meet goals and standards using technology.
Provide your child with an object or stress ball to keep his or her hands or mind focused.
Post clear and obvious schedules, tasks, objectives, and rules that your child will have available at every moment.
Use a daily report card or behavior card to help remind your child to stay focused and on-task.
